"The heart of Japan" that I want to convey through a Japanese sword

Since the end of the Heian period, the unique appearance of Japan (warped bay sword) has been called the "Japanese sword" for more than a thousand years.

The Japanese sword made of tamahagane, which was born from the flames of Guren, continues to fascinate people all over the world for its mysterious and magical appearance.

Although it is a tool for battle, it has been polished, and the wood-grained sword that appears on the blade and the bright sword that looks like gold sand have been sprinkled with gold sand. It has been carefully inherited as a sacred treasure dedicated to the gods or as a protective sword to dispel evil spirits.

I believe that this unique Japanese sword "sensitivity" is one of the traditions and cultures that must not be extinguished, like Noh and Kabuki.

Now that it has been 20 years since he entered the world of sword making from the age of 18, he decided to play an even greater role as one of the bearers of passing on the tradition and culture of Japanese swords to future generations. , In 2021, we launched "Munenaga Swordsman".

The style we aim for is the sword of the Kamakura period, which is still said to be lost technology and is touted as the highest peak.

By fusing the sword-making technique that has been handed down from ancient times with the original technique, it is our belief that the feelings that the ancient people have sent to Japanese swords are reflected in the present age.

I hope that the Japanese swords I create will give you a sense of timeless and mysterious beauty, and give you an opportunity to think about the "heart of Japan."
